Before starting this journey, I am about to undertake, at the beginning of this very first blog of the endless blogs that are to follow, let me first say a few words about it. And that is going to be a long journey. A much longer than I can possibly imagine at the present moment. This is a journey where I can only see the beginning of the road and never in my wildest imagination envision the end of this road.
While I am a strong believer of the idiom that says: “Never say never,” I confess that I have serious doubt that not even my successors, who will take over this blog after I am long gone, will ever reach the end of the road, if they choose to stay the course and follow the same road I am about to commence. I say so, because the very meaning of “HEAD MOUNTAIN” which will be the topic we will explore in different forms of a series of blogs that are to come, is so deep and complex that I can say with a very high degree of truthiness that it is greater than the oceans and probably as vast as the sky above our heads, as you will probably notice in the paragraphs below.
From Where the Idea Came:
Before I settled on starting an apparel brand named HEAD MOUNTAIN, I was exploring the possibilities of opening a specialized food store in the city of Dallas, Texas. I filed all the paperwork required with the secretary of the state of Texas. I was very busy looking for and talking with several real estate agencies as well as the city of Dallas, to get one of the locations I had in mind approved for a specialized food store operation.
However, one evening as I laid in bed, in one of my spiritual nightly studies before going to sleep, I was reading one of my most favorite books, a book titled ASCENDED MASTERS INSTRUCTION or more precisely Volume IV of the Green Books of the Saint Germain Series, published by the Saint Germain Press. I was reading a discourse dictated or channeled (in amateurish parlance) by an Ascended Master named Saint Germain. When on page 36, I came across the paragraph in quotation below and my vision of what I intended to do, businesswise, completely turned upside down. My mind was hit with a blinding light, and suddenly I heard a voice inside me gently whispering: “Why not start a clothing brand or an apparel that inspires people success through self-growth and name it HEAD MOUNTAIN whose philosophy will be embodied in the tagline DRESS YOUR MIND WELL. Here is the part of the paragraph whose light hit me like a bolt:
… Under this Radiating Presence, let us consider the meaning and activity of the word “Ascension.” Let us try to dispel the many misinterpretations of the orthodox interpretation. When the individual has become aware of and, with conscious effort, directs the attention to the region of the head where the Anchor of the Great Central Sun is located, he has ascended to the Mount of True Understanding. This is often referred to symbolically by the phrase, “going up into the Head Mountain” – which is often physically true, and yet but symbolizes the fixing of the consciousness on the highest of the Seven Centers that are the vortices of Activity of the Great Central Sun in man and the universe.
In the aftermath of reading that paragraph, the chapter and ultimately the whole book, my mind was flooded with blinding light to the point all I could only see, think, feel, imagine or envision was HEAD MOUNTAIN as an apparel brand that inspires people success through SELF-GROWTH. There and then I changed my mind and decided to start an apparel brand whose sole mission will be to inspire folks the desire to obtain and maintain freedom, happiness, peace, harmony and ultimately material success or otherwise primarily through SELF-GROWTH.
Meaning of our Tagline:
“DRESS YOUR MIND WELL” the tagline of our brand simply means, aided by the clothes you wear, to direct your thoughts, feelings, attention or simply Consciousness to the HEAD MOUNTAIN where true or invincible freedom, happiness, peace, harmony and ultimately success is obtained and maintained. All of HEAD MOUNTAIN’s products: Hoodies, Crewnecks, Polo shirts, T-shirts, Long sleeves shirts and more will always contain some inspirational wordings that we hope will trigger the bearer to, in whatever s/he does, consider self-growth as a first path in achieving any venture to be undertaken. There are so many ways people get inspired when something meaningful happens. This is how I got inspired to start my company, HEAD MOUNTAIN LLC.
THE PATH FORWARD:
While this section is titled The Path Forward, an astute reader must have discerned the path forward already outlined in the above section. Therefore, in this section, The Path Forward, I will express something that is very dear to my heart. And that something is a personal commitment I have, something that I want those who will come after me to commit to this company until the end of time, and that something is this:
Long before I was born, my father’s first-born child, a girl named M., was autistic. My own second child but my first boy was diagnosed with autism at the age of four. One of my grandkids was also diagnosed with autism at an early age. I lost my fourth child or my third boy to a brain aneurysm when he was just ten years old. On both my side and my wife’s side of the family we have painfully dealt with devastating mental illness.
At my son’s funeral, I promised him to do everything in my power to make sure that no other family will endure the pain our family endured with his passing. Therefore, a portion of every T-shirt, Hoody, Crewneck, Polo shirt or any article we sell will be DONATED to AUTISM and BRAIN ANEURYSM RESEARCH.
